About
Welcome!
What is it?
KCSD participates in the CIOLA consortium for our district’s cyber program.
Who is eligible to join?
All KCSD resident students are eligible to join our program.
Who do I contact?
It is best to start with the online learning Principal, Mr. Dave Peters.
How is On-Line Learning structured?
Our OLL classes operate through a variety of programs that may include multiple on-line platforms. Students can take classes at home or at school using the on-line platforms. We can work with individual students and families to create a schedule that meets their needs. Some students stay on-site all day, while other students come on-site for certain classes and work from home for the rest of the day.
What do I need to transfer to KCSD On-Line Learning?
The first thing you will need is internet in your home. The district will provide a laptop or Chromebook to students that can be used for OLL classes. The laptop/Chromebook will need to be returned at the end of the school year at the administration office.
Why can’t I just say I want On-Line classes and be done with the request?
On-Line Learning is all about meeting the individual needs of each student. You will stay in close contact with your teachers and with Mr. Peters. You start On-Line Learning by meeting with your guidance counselor or with Mr. Peters. We will provide you with an overview of the programs. If students choose home OLL, then they will meet regularly with OLL staff to monitor progress.
If you want to ask questions before you decide what to do, who can you contact?
